Formula car for cfd study
grabcad
During my 2015-2016 university year's first semester, I created a basic Solidworks 2015 model of an open wheel race car for a CFD study. Although the model appeared messy due to numerous other school tasks, I also provided a parasolid (.x_t) version for users of parasolid-based CAD software. The model was specifically designed for CFD purposes and while not highly precise, it yielded the expected results for suspension and aerodynamics in later studies. If time permits, I plan to refine a surface-based model of contemporary Formula-1 cars. Special thanks go to Roman Rapita for his rear wing model (Red Bull Racing RB7 Rear Wing), which I modified and incorporated into my project. As an educational endeavor and contribution to the GrabCAD community, I uploaded this venture. Feedback and suggestions are warmly welcomed; cheers!
