Four Jaw Miniature Clamp

**June 24th 2019: If you downloaded this in the first couple of days it was up you should re-download the files, I found a slight mistake in them.** This is a four jaw miniature clamp with independently adjustable claws. My ex-wife got me a miniature for Father's Day and it had a non-standard base. I had been watching a lot of machining videos on YouTube and thought that instead of making a new set of jaws for my original clamp I should make something like a four-jaw chuck. Only smaller. With a handle. To construct this you'll need: 8 x #6 x 1/2" wood screws 5 x M3 Nuts 1 x M3 x 16mm flat head machine screw 4 x M3 x 35mm pan head machine screws I got mine from Bolt Depot. You'll need to print a grip, 4 jaws, base, top and top center. The "Big Screws" top goes with the V0004 Top Center and the normal top goes with the V0002 Top Center, although it's not absolutely vital to get this correct. 1- Push an M3 nut down into each claw, lining it up with the hole through the bottom. 2 - Place an M3 nut into the space in the top of the grip and then screw the base onto the grip using four of the wood screws. 3 - Then place the top on the base and screw that down using the remaining four wood screws. 4 - Now take the four pan head screws and thread them into the jaws - the screw heads should be on the side of the jaw with the claw on it. Thread the screw about halfway into the jaw. 5 - Slide each jaw into the top of the clamp, feeding the screw thread end out through the hole in the base and then slotting the head of the screw in the center of the base. 6 - Holding the screw with a screwdriver, thread the knobs onto the end of each of the screws. 7 - Put the top center in the center of the top and then put the flat head screw down the center and screw it into the M3 nut that you placed in step 2. 8 - If you would like the base to have a bit more heft to it then put a metal ball in the hole in the base (I used another one of those Volkswagen Fox CV bearings I have laying around for some damn fool reason) and then screw the screw base into the grip to keep it from rattling around. Or use the space to store snacks. If your part sits too low, shim it up with some cardboard or foam core board until it sits at the height you want.
