FPV Camera Mount for helicopter landing gear

FPV Camera Mount for helicopter landing gear

thingiverse

A small device to mount a generic FPV camera on a RC helicopter without needing to modify the aircraft. The picture is of a Blade 230, but it should work with many models. Push the camera into the hole, secure it with an M2 bolt and screw (you usually get these with the cameras), unscrew the front of your landing gear, place the "board" of the mount between the landing gear and the frame, and refasten the landing gear. The pressure of the landing gear should be enough to hold it in place, but if you want to be extra certain you could apply some hot glue. The camera will have a slight (20 degrees) downwards tilt, with the common wide-angle lenses this gives excellent downward visibility. It does restrict visibility while flying at high angles of attack, so if you want to go fast you should look for a way to mount the camera facing forwards or preferably even a bit upward instead.
