I designed this Drone for my product design A-Level but never got to add electronics to it so im not sure if the flight controller or VTX mounting works . If you have any suggestions on how i can improve the design I would love to hear them. Not sure what to call it so if you have any ideas let me know. Printed parts: One of each thing except the skids which you need 4 off. The arms are all different so you cant just print one of the files off 4 times. Parts Required: 8x 35mm standoffs 16x m3 8mm countersunk head hex screws for the standoffs 8x m3 nuts 8x m3 16mm countersunk head hex screws to hold the wiggle plate to the body + any additional mounting hardware required for FC, Motors, etc Assembly: Place the arms in the wiggle plate assuring that the correct arm is in the right place (the holes won't line up if theyre not). Depending on your printers dimensional accuracy you may need to hammer the arms into place (I placed a thin bit of wood ontop first to ensure that the arms didnt get damaged). Place the M3 nuts ontop of the sunken inserts on the main body (not the countersunk side). Next used a thing peice of wood and tap the nuts into the divots (I designed them to slightly deform the print so they wouldn't wiggle during flight. Insert the standoff screws into the other side of the main body facing up and the screw the standoffs into them. Its important this is done befor mounting the wiggle plate as it covers the holes for some of the standoff screws. Next place the top plate ontop of the standoffs and screw it in using the remaining stand off screws. The Wiggle plate and arms can now be mounted to the bottom of the drone using the 16mm bolts passing through the wiggle plate and arms into the M3 nuts that were hammered in earlier. TPU skid installation: I recommend printing these parts in TPU but theres no reason why they cant be printed in PLA. Simply slot them onto the bottom of the arms and then mount the motors through the holes. As i meantioned i havent installed any electronics into the frame but theoretically it should be able to fit 30mm and 20mm stacks. I never got far enough to design a camera mount but im sure there will be many other options available to download. Im a student so any tips you can give would be really appreciated. I would love to see some builds so make sure to post them and any improvements you think i should make. Thanks!
