The FPV Racer-X is a 220 sized quadcopter designed for FPV flight. It can be printed on a 200mm x 200mm or larger sized print bed. Heavily influenced by these two previous works.http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1248646http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1120168 This small quadcopter frame is a great trainer for FPV racing before spending a lot of money on a carbon fiber frame. Printed in ABS, PETG, or Carbon Fiber filament, this should be pretty rugged! The USB port hole on the side is for a CC3D, but may fit other boards. The cutout on the top is also for a CC3D using the straight servo connectors. I will update both when I've had time to check a Naze32. The FPV camera mount was designed to fit my cheap Eachine 700tvl CCD board camera that came bundled with an ET200 transmitter, but should fit most 32mm board cameras. A smaller camera with its own bracket, such as the HS1177 can be attached to the bottom plate. Motor holes are sized for 22xx motors. There are two versions of the bottom. One that will require 20mm screws (17mm plus enough threads to hold the motors) but will be easier to print. And one that will require 8mm motor screws (5mm plus enough threads to hold the motors) that might be easier to find (they may have even come with your motors), but may be harder to print cleanly as the recessed areas may need supports. Using 6" props is possible, but impractical. They would clear each other, but you would not be able to use an FPV camera (or have anything else above the top plate) and much of the prop would be over the body of the quad resulting in very inefficient and turbulent airflow. 5" props are recommended, but be careful of the FPV camera placement. For basic assembly, you will need: Twelve M3x30mm screws and lock nuts for the frame. Eight M3x8 (or longer) screws and lock nuts for the motor spacers. Eight M3x8 screws to mount the motors. If using the FPV board camera mount I've provided, you'll need one M3x25mm (or another M3x30mm) screw and lock nut for the FPV camera holder, and one M3x8mm for attaching to the bottom plate. Update 4/23/2016: Revised the design of the bottom plate, separating it from the motor spacers. The top and bottom plates can now both be cut out of carbon if desired. The motor mounts take an M3 lock nut and an M3x8mm or longer screw to attach to the bottom plate. The lock nuts should be a very tight fit - use a longer M3x30 to pull the lock nut down into the recess for it in the motor spacer. Update 3/13/2016: Mount for RunCam HD added. This is a work in progress, I value your feedback!
