FPV250 Battery Tray

FPV250 Battery Tray

This is a tray that you can bolt to the underside of the FPV250 found at hobbyking. In my case this allowed me to mount a 4xESC to the bottom of the airframe, and then mount the battery to the tray. The feet line up with holes in the frame. I used 3mm cap head screws to secure it in place. I've crashed my quad a few times already and the tray is holding up fine. Instructions I recommend printing these at 100% infill if you can. That gives it the structural integrity to take hard landings and crashes without breaking. PLA or ABS should be fine, I have printed it in both materials. I'm flying the PLA version as I prefer the rigidity which seems better matched to the frame itself. After printing you will likely need to ream the holes in the feet out a bit. I used a 3mm tap on my PLA one. You could also most likely use a 2.5 mm drill bit. The trick is that the hole still needs to be tight so that the screws get a good bite on the plastic.
