Frame profile for supporting LEDs strips around windows.
thingiverse
Here is the rewritten text: Hi there, this is the first profile in a series designed to fix LED strips as window surrounds. The LEDs can be easily fitted into any or all of the three slots and then secured in place with hot glue. The middle slot displays the LEDs pointing away from the wall, while the left and right slots are perfect for wall and window washers (mini floods). The first section is a vertical profile that lines the sides of your windows. It's designed to be printed in sections and then slides onto 20mm plastic electrical conduit, which is hot glued into place. This method allows you to print any length you need and provides a reasonable amount of strength. As an added bonus, the conduit keeps all cables neat and tidy. I'll be posting the top, bottom, and corner profiles next, once I've printed a few of this profile. Please note that the original upload is WIND_TEST2.stl, while the revised version (thinner and with angled LEDs) can be found in WIND_PROF2.stl (1.0mm wall). In UPDATE2, all .stl files have been run through NetFeb. I've also added a bracket profile that features a 3mm wide slot, perfect for securing with a small tie-wrap if needed. Additionally, the top and bottom profiles now include forward-facing LED slots. The control box has been designed in two parts, with one part fitting into the top profile to house the controller board or boards for the frame (using the same design as mine or adapting it to suit your needs). Some photos of assembled sections can be found below. Upcoming updates will include a control box lid, corners, and photos of fully printed parts. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer Model: K8200 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Infill: None Notes: Printed in PLA, stood on end, no raft, 3 perimeters, in 50mm sections.
