Framework Expansion Card Holder

Framework Expansion Card Holder

This is an expansion card holder for framework laptops. This holds anything between 1 and 16 cards, depending on which one you print. Why you would print only a single size slot... perhaps testing? Print whatever size you want. I also included the source blender file for anyone wanting to make anything bigger, if it can fit on your bed. There are 2 ways you can go about printing this. One is by printing a top and bottom of the same slot size. The other is by printing 2 bottom's of the same size. If vertical space is an issue then I'd recommend going the top/bottom route. If vertical space is not an issue for you, and you prefer utility, I recommend going the bottom/bottom route for a number of reasons. 1. The vertical space internally was explicitly designed to be able to fit the cards by combining 2 bottoms. 2. The USB-C gap also allows for you to be able put the cards in the upside-down configuration. This would allow for all 4 possible different directions, and they will all fit. Say you needed to keep track of them for some reason, this would allow for it. 3. You can use the other one as a tray if you need to temporarily swap out cards while the other one stays where its stored, use it to carry to your workbench, put the other ones back in the tray, take it back to your where you have it stored, and then put them back in the same set. Images: The small sample pieces I printed are cutaway pieces that I tested to verify they worked. You can see how they can go in both directions. Printing Directions: This was printed with PLA at .16mm resolution, at 20% infill.
