This is probably more an inspiration to refurbish things than a project for someone to download and use... The engine of our budget blender had seized due to overheating, but we happened to have another blender with a broken container but functioning motor from previous roommates. So, the idea to create Frankenblender was conceived... we simply designed an adapter plate to fit the motor in the hacksawed old casing and a new casing bottom part that has sufficient ventilation. The new engine only had a knurled nut for injection molding, so I melted that in the plastic part that interlocks with the drive of the jar knife using a soldering iron. Everything works perfectly well, and you can definitely feel the cool air being sucked in by the motor now! Only have to be careful not to pour liquids over the casing. Parts were designed using Fusion 360 and MeshMixer.
