FRC Team 41 2020 Preseason project -- rotating flywheel shooterrelevant chiefdelphi post: https://www.chiefdelphi.com/t/team-41-2020-preseason-flywheel-design-release/369121....Design Notes- Used Inventor 2019 software- modelled this shooter after the FRC 2017 Steamworks challenge- the drivetrain base used is a modification of a past preseason project (2019 season, linked here Team 41 2019 Preseason Drivetrain Design Release)- the flat yellowish pieces running on hex axles are intended to be ¼“ surgical tubing, which grip the ball and serve as an intake mechanism for the flywheel shooter........Missing:- not included is the polycarbonate backboard we used on the shooting assembly. We fastened perforated polycarbonate to the L-brackets that are mounted to the semicircular aluminum pieces- missing two versaplanetary gearboxes and their corresponding BAG motors (and pulleys and timing belts) for the intake components. Mounting brackets are included in the model with holes for mounting the motors and gearboxes.- missing support for the CIM motor that drives the flywheel; on physical robot, we modified a L-bracket to that the VersaPlanetary gearbox screws into- missing chain that is driven by the vertically mounted BAG motor and the triangle of sprockets on the flywheel base plate; this chain is ANSI 25 and is mounted to the circular plate, causing its rotation- missing belt that connects flywheel shooter CIM pulley to the actual axle of the shooter- missing proper shooter wheel; we didn't end up using the compliant wheel in the model, but a colson wheel of the same diameter- missing electrical board, but adequate space is allotted- technicality -- no true "flywheel" on this model; we used a shooter wheel, which we called a flywheel, but this model does not include any mechanism to keep the rotational inertia
