This is my design of a drag chute release mechanism specifically for the Freewing Mig-29. It is part of a mod that is documented in further detail on a HobbySquawk thread which can be found here hobbysquawk.com/forum/rc-airplanes/rc-military-jets/294668-freewing-mig-29-drag-chute-modification. This mod requires some effort to complete successfully. If you are not inclined to making mods or question your abilities you will need to find someone skilled enough and willing to do it for you. The mod works great on my plane but you must jettison the chute before taxiing off the runway so be prepared to retrieve the chute. It is explained in the thread on HS.
