I wanted to compare the tone of a metal and a PLA mouthpiece whilst playing about with what defines a brass instrument mouthpiece. I based my design on the Neill Sanders Wide Rim 16D mouthpiece, which I have been using since I was 15 years old. I've kept the rim, but tweaked the bore and cup sizes to give more positive pressure. The result is that the tone is slightly less rounded, but the range is improved and also it has allowed me to tire less quickly.
