This Friction Spacer is used on the Ridgid NXT shop vacuum attachments holder to get a tight fit when using a 2" PVC coupling. When building a dust separator cart setup. I used the Ridgid 12 Gal. 5.0-Peak HP NXT Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum with Filter, Hose and Accessories from Home Depot. (THD SO SKU 1002916304) I used the 2-in x 2-in 280 Psi Schedule 40 White PVC Coupling, form Lowes. (Item #23902 Model #PVC 02100 1600) I placed the Low - Friction Spacer (LFS) on the shop vacuum attachments holder first, as seen in pic. Then slid the 2" PVC coupler onto that. The (LFS) cover the main part of the shop vac's attachments holder, and uses less filament. If you slid the (LFS) into the 2" PVC coupler first, it could slid higher into the coupler. Which will cause it not to get a good grip on the shop vac's attachments holder. I also added a file for a Tall - Friction Spacer (TFS). This one you can slid it into the 2" PVC coupler first, and it will not have any issues with if moving around. It does use more filament then the (LFS).
