Front derailleur adapter (braze on)

This is an adapter to mount a braze-on front derailleur on a Mongoose Malus Fat bike. The Mongoose Malus comes with a single sprocket front, I wanted to piece together a triple. This bike has a bottom bracket size around 112 mm, so I had to offset the deraileur and the cable stay as well. There are 4 parts here, put together into 2 assemblies, each assy clamps onto the seat tube separately. The cable stay has a spacer to keep it from moving up the tube if the cable force is large. Printing this as 2 assemblies makes the printing much simpler, and allows you to rotate the cable guide if you need a different orientation. I printed mine in PLA at 40% fill, seems strong enough for my wussy riding, but I suppose you could print with nylon or at a higher fill density if you need it to be stronger. Vitamins: 4 6mm bolts and nuts 2 3mm steel rods (20mm long) or bolts I used this with a Shimano Sora braze on derailleur (Shimano Sora FD-3500 Front Derailleur) Print Settings Printer: Geeetech G2 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .3mm Infill: 40% Post-Printing Printing Print one(1) cableguide1, two(2) cableguide2's, and one(1) deraileuradapter. the extra cableguide2 piece will fit with the derailleur adapter. Post Processing(making the hinge, etc.) after removing the supports, trim the hinge sections using a sharp knife so that the pieces just fit together, with the pieces fitted together drill out the center to fit your 3mm rod. alternately you can use a larger hole and a 4mm bolt. You will have to drill a hole (or modify the stl) for the derailleur bolt. You can see the cable coming out of the cable guide piece, and how the derailleur fits into the printed adapter You can see here the hinges in the 2 assemblies, as well as the bolt holding the derailleur into the printed adapter.
