Front Facing Filament Holder

Front Facing Filament Holder

This is a front facing spool holder for easier loading. I also incorporated bearings in the rod for smoother feeding. The ones labeled 608 are sized for a 608 bearing and 5/16 threaded rod and 1/2" OD hex nuts. The other "original" design was sized for some bearings I had from a surplus store. The part number in the title are the same size from McMasterCarr and are 5/8" OD and 1/4" ID. This will need 1 threaded rod, 2 lock nuts and 1 regular nut or one 5" hex bolt, 1 regular nut and 1 lock nut of the appropriate size for either bearing size model. This mounts to the extruded rail where the factory one mounted and reuses the original nuts in the rail. You'll just need longer bolts to reach them. Instructions: Put a nylon lock nut on end of threaded rod, insert through spool rod and place a regular nut on after until finger tight. Insert assembly through base with regular nut going into hex recess in base. Add another lock nut onto back of base to secure. You could also use a long enough hex bolt for easier tightening.
