This is a replacement part for Smartrike style children's tricycles. It is a clip which is used to change the front wheel from essentially trailing, to active steering so that your child can either be pushed on the bike or steer it themselves. This clip can be broken and I have strengthened it. The photo is of the original part. Replacing it is not easy, remove the front wheel assembly using the two clips. The next bit is difficult the nylon bushing has to be removed. I managed this with the handles of two spoons the bushing can be pushed open from the top and eventually it will come free. Then insert your printed clip and reassemble. I have no idea how long this part will last. Print Settings Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 90% Notes: Important, print it in the orientation it has by default. You do not want the layers to be perpendicular to the cylindrical parts as they will snap. Use support then file the part down afterwards. I used 90% infill to ensure a maximally strong part but avoiding overfilling it. I used ABS, one tip I recently was offered - use a higher temperature to ensure really good layer bonding.
