The 2 beauties of this antenna holder are: A) You WON'T have to buy antenna tubes. Instead, it holds regular, cheap ZIP TIEs that you can find just about anywhere. B) The ZIP TIE is mounted so it can flop back and forth, but not sideways. This means that your antenna can bend in a crash, without hitting the propellers!! See one of the pictures that shows the antenna being bent. This was made for the FrSky D8R-II Plus, but you can easily modify it for other receivers/transceivers. The 2 top holes are just peep holes to help guide you when routing the antenna wires and when attaching the receiver to the antenna holder. I use regular Velcro to hold my receiver and this antenna holder assembly. Many hours of flying (and crashes) and it works like a champ! Print Settings Printer Brand: Formlabs Printer: Form 1 Supports: Yes Resolution: 200 microns Notes: Install the ZIP TIEs before installing the antenna wires. Instead of using little ZIP TIEs to hold the antenna wire to the big ZIP TIE, you can use shrink-tubes to hold the antenna wires. Post-Printing If using an UV curable resin (e.g., Form1 printers), it is highly recommended that you paint the part to protect it from direct sunlight. Otherwise the part may become brittle and break. How I Designed This No more whacked antennae? I just got tired of having my antennae chopped up, and I didn't want to spend more money on antenna tubes, when I already have a ton of ZIP TIEs laying around.
