Interested by the battery box design of totof1965 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:252542) I decided to print one for my Taranis Plus. The problem was that the bottom lip was not high enough to clear the battery I was using, a Nano-Tech 2.1 LIFE, this measures 100mm x 30mm x 30mm. So I set about designing my own cover. This is the first file, the flat cover. After this I was musing on how to mount the small LIPO battery I had for running my FPV DVR 7" screen. Out of interest the battery is Turnigy 2.2 9XR, these have built in over\under discharge protection. I though this a good idea as the DVR has no battery reading on it. But how to mount it? This is my solution, the second file. The battery is 102mm x 33mm x 20mm and the external extension to the case just fits on their nicely. In all a rather neat solution to the problem. Instructions The models are printed on me XYZ Davinci 1 (hacked) printer, sliced in Slic3r. I have the perimeters set to 4, print at .2 thickness and use 4mm hexagonal supports. Density is set to 20%. I recommend printing as shown in the picture, this way the locking tabs get to be printed cleanly. Enjoy :-)
