Juice from melons in a container naturally collects at the bottom. The fruit drain plate improves melon quality by keeping it above the juice. Its diameter is 23cm to fit a vintage Tupperware cake holder. A monolithic plate would not fit the MakerBot build space. So, the plate is split to 2 identical halves. Fruit Plate2 squeezes two halves side-by-side to print them concurrently. Legs near the split are 2mm longer to flex the center up for draining. The plate is thin to print quickly and flex gracefully.
