Fruit Fly Trap & Desiccant Holder

Depending on Quality of plastic and printer I sometimes have to clean out the tip of the holes (3/32 drill bit for medium and 1/8 drill bit for big). I usually use the medium size for most things - it is scaled to 50% of the big size. Basic fruit fly trap. It is not water tight, so I either use clear spray paint or acrylic glaze to paint the insides. Does a fairly good job depending on your attractant. I use fragrant oils, don't know why the fruit flies like it but they generally do (make sure you have a good water proof seal - oil will eat through paint. I've heard that they really like apple vinegar that has had about half the water boiled off. Never done that. Lately, have been filling them with desiccant and putting them in the center of the PLA and TPU filament spools before storing in vac bags. The top should stay on firmly and the desiccant does a good job of not falling through the holes. Unlike the little bags of desiccant, I can open the top to check if the desiccant has turned from orange to blue, indicating that it needs to go back into the dehydrator.
