FSL Muse or Dremel DigiLab Laser Focus Adjustment Thumb Screw Cap

thingiverse

If you don't want or cannot print it yourself, we have a kit available to order visit http://maker.space/store/ This is a thumbscrew cap for the Full Spectrum Laser Muse or Dremel DigiLab Laser machine's focus tool. The existing screw works but is sometimes hard to turn, this cap increases the size of the screw and makes it much easier to loosen and tighten. The file has been printed in PET-G and PLA as is with no adjustment on my Prusa i3 Mk3 but if you find that it is too small or large just scale it in your slicer up or down in 2% increments. You SHOULD expect it is a tight fit so the cap is fitted tightly onto the brass thumbscrew. I use a small hammer and gently tape the cap into place while having the screw held by a small socket that allows the brass screw to slip through but leave the screw head some support while pushing the cap in place. Still each 3D printer and filament can have different expansion properties so if it's too loose or too tight just scale it in your slicer and try again. There are two files which are the same except for a small wrench icon for website maker.space. Feel free to print either :-)
