Delta Printr Owners...Auto leveling is cool when it works. When it doesn't, it can be frustrating to deal with. To make auto leveling consistent, several things were tried but only about a 20% chance resulted in the bed being properly sensed. It was noticed that when the "bed" temperature was below 70C, auto leveling worked fine. Anything higher and it failed completely. The problem seemed to be one or more sensors being more sensitive than usual. A solution was found by un-weighting each sensor individually. One of the best things to have on hand for getting a 3D printer working is another 3D printer itself. An FSR platform was created with an extra hole for an M5 screw, which helped to take some weight off the FSR sensor. The new design worked pretty well after some fiddling to determine which sensor needed adjusting. This was done by carefully lifting the bed near each FSR and observing how the bed temperature changed. The M5 screws were adjusted until a consistent bed temperature of around 60C was reached.
