We created a differential swerve drive for our 2022-23 Power Play robot. This is the pod design we created for our robot. The differential swerve pod was designed to be mounted to a drivetrain using 40mm needle bearings and a 1/4" Hex Cap Bolt. We designed it with an internal metal structure to allow it to withstand more force. If you wish to utilize this metal structure, we recommend having the Pod Cap made out of metal. This design was made to specifically work with our robot. We recommend adapting the design to work best with your robot. Each pod consists of the following: 1x Swerve Pod 1x Pod Cap 1x Top Gear 1x Bottom Gear 1x Top Gear 1x Bevel Gear As well as: 8x REV-41-1360 8x REV-14-1368 4x REV-41-1125 2x REV-41-1683 2x REV-41-1629 2x 5mm Hex Axle (36mm in length) 1x 5mm Hex Axle (105-110mm in length) 1x AM-4719 We recommend that you use these needle-bearing parts to mount the swerve pod to your robot. 1x McMaster-Carr 5909K36 2x McMaster-Carr 5909K49
