FTDI USB Serial board enclosure

FTDI USB Serial board enclosure

thingiverse

Just a simple enclosure for an FTDI USB serial adapter (not the Sparkfun version which has a SMD connector soldered to the bottom) that I picked up from Amazon. I looked through what was already here and the styles were either a bit bulky or didn't seem to match my particular board. Nothing fancy here. The enclosure snaps together (glue it if you'd like) and helps provide a strain relief for the serial header. It is designed so that the 3.3V/5V jumper is above the enclosure enough to pull it out. I have included the sketchup file in case you wish (or need) to tweak it. Note: On my board, I needed to trim the leads on the bottom. You could modify it to accommodate the leads by making it a bit deeper and placing a ridge inside. Up to you.
