---- ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS COMING VERY SOON ---- The Fuji GX680 models I and II are very capable cameras. Unfortunately, they were originally sold with a proprietary rechargeable battery. 30 years later, those batteries are no longer functioning - and the OEM Fuji AA battery box is an uncommon and expensive accessory. These typically sell for more than the cost of the camera! The more expensive GX680 model III would fix this problem by incorporating a lithium battery holder as standard equipment, but what about all those cheap model I and II cameras for sale with no power source... The `AA680` I`ve posted is meant as an alternative to the expensive OEM Fuji AA battery box. Just like the Fuji original, it uses 6 double A batteries. This is meant to be a quick and cheap alternative - if you have your own printer, you can produce one of these for well under 8$. It is designed to use off the shelf parts to simplify production - you will need to order a 6xAA battery holder off ebay, as well as a pair of metal contacts in order to contact the pins on the camera body. In the future I may make a `deluxe` version with lid and latch. But as of now, the `AA680` was meant to be printed in under 2 hours (as I use a library 3D printer with a 2 hour limit) and with as little assembly and soldering as possible. You will need: - the `AA680` 3D printed bracket - superglue - a soldering iron and solder - a 6xAA inline battery holder (search EBay for "6xAA battery holder". Choose one without a lid) - a pair of AAA/AAAA contacts (search EBay for "AAA/AAAA contact") I wont provide links to specific EBay sales as I am not associated with any sellers there. Luckily, these parts I've used are common and available from many different sellers, and easy to find with the right search terms. Good luck! Feel free to modify or improve upon this design!
