Fujitsu 4120 Scanner Paper Tray Extension Holder Replacement

This is a left/right pair of parts to replace damaged paper tray extension holder tabs for a Fujitsu 4120 Scanner. The little tabs that hold the paper tray extension part break very easily; we have one of these at home and one in the office, and both have failed in exactly the same way. The first time one broke I kind of glued it back together, but that makes the paper tray extension permanent - it won't fold back onto the main tray like it should. So when the second one broke I decided to see if I couldn't 3D print something that could replace the existing holders. The parts were printed on my PowerSpec 3D PRO (Flashforge Creator PRO clone) using carbon fiber impregnated PETG. Any reasonable filament should do, but the carbon fiber parts might be a bit more durable. Some Dremel tool work will be required to remove the damaged tabs. The replacement parts should be glued to the main paper tray in such a way that the holes face inward and are aligned with each other. When the replacement parts are in the correct position, the paper tray extension will pivot to stow against the main tray, and will pivot out to the extended position where it is stopped in the extended position by the interference between the pivot end of the extension and the outer edge of the main tray. The replacement parts must be installed such that this interference occurs, or the extension will simply pivot past the extended position and hang loose - not a good thing! Print Settings Printer Brand: PowerSpec Printer: PowerSpec 3D Pro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: I used 40% but it's not critical Notes: I used 3DXTECH's carbon fiber impregnated PETG filament for maximum durability, but just about any reasonable filament should do Post-Printing Post-print part installation The repair parts replace the existing crappy plastic holder tabs that break as soon as you look at them. So, these tabs must be removed so the replacement parts can take their place. I used a Dremel tool with a milling bit, but anything that can accurately and safely cut the tabs away will do.
