Hello Makers! New maker here with about 2 months under my plastic belt. This is my first original design created because I wanted to see all my dominos when playing Mexican Train and I could find nothing I liked. My favorite train dominos are 51mm x 25.5mm x 8mm. This size is roughly the "professional" size. This tray should work fine for "standard" or "professional" size dominos. I set the gap at 10mm to allow for variance. The tray will not work with "Jumbo" or "Tournament" dominos (may come later). I am providing 2 STL. The 260mm (112mm x 90mm x 260mm) is designed for 5 dominos per row. Our normal draw is 15 so this is easy way to make sure you have the right count. I added 2 extra rows so there is a work area (or if you are having a bad game!). The 210mm is designed for 4 dominos per row and those who do not have the printer Z height to print the 260. Print should be oriented vertically on the end wall. I left the one wall so brims or supports are not needed (and I think it helps with stability and stacking). My print settings for the 260mm in PLA: .4mm nozzle .2mm layer height (Cura Standard Quality) 8% infill Cubic .04 Infill Layer Thickness I settled on the 8% infill to get the filament use down to 189g so I can get 5 of these from a spool. The Infill Layer Thickness setting should be a multiple of layer height. This one setting was able to reduce my print time from 25 hours to 20 hours. Highly recommended if your printer flow rate can support it. I also should also note that I do experience minor collision during movements at higher heights but my adhesion is good enough that there is no issue. I considered adding a Z hop in the slicer but it added 2 hours to the print. Something to consider if printing issues. Setting license as Attribution – NonCommercial – ShareAlike because several people have told me I should sell this on Etsy. Not sure if that will happen, does not seem special or complicated to me, but just in case.
