Happy holidays to all! After a day of testing different branch designs and how they would translate to printing I've finally got a decent result, a bit late but I figure Id post it:). My goal was for this to be a fast and easy task, so you wont need supports or have to tweak any slicer settings. The result was 1 hour 15 mins for 180mm tree at .8, the .5 is 2 hours and son on. I haven't test anything lower than .5 but feel free. So it seems the layer height is what effects the leaves the .5 is cleary much cleaner looking but .8 will work fine ( photos are .5 and .8 layer height) the .8 is about 1 hour 15 min and .5 is 2 hours. I'm in a bit of a rush so I didn't get to print the bases or use a heat gun to shape it but im sure theyll work fine If you print one please let me know how it goes I will be back in 2 days, PS the hairylion heat gun treatment should work too. Enjoy:)
