In the past, Grabcad automatically displayed GIFs; however, now you need to click on the image to view the animation. I shared an intriguing model from Cornell University's Library (Swash Plate Gears) which was based on the Kmoddl example but also included some variations for fun. The most interesting one was this one. The modeling was done using Solidworks 2016, while Simlab Composer 7 Mechanical Edition was used for rendering. Frames were edited with Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP. Video remuxing was done with MyMP4BoxGui to create an MP4 file. Gifs were made using PhotoScape, and edits were made with IrfanView. The 3D-PDF, ZIM, and SIMLAB files are animated. You can view the ZIM file on IOS and Android devices via the free Simlab Viewer app. The model is available in multiple formats including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 7, ZIM, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, FBX, and DWF.
