Function Generator Case

This is a cover for the FG085 Digital Function Generator (e.g., as found on Sparkfun KIT-11394 and elsewhere). Since this product has a front face and rear face (but sides are exposed), this 'thingi' case is in two halves which snap on to complete the shell. Holes allow access to power and usb plugs. Heat ventilation holes are positioned just above the back-lit LCD display. Instructions Print each part separately, top down on the printer platform. I used medium, with 3 shells and 0.2 layer thickness on Makerbot 2. For the top part, the vent holes above the LCD display are a challenge. Besides greatly increasing print time, these prove to be a "torture test" for the printer. If you have a problem with the circle outlines not sticking to the platform, you might prefer the top without the vent holes. (See photos.)
