Functional Crossbow from the video game Witcher 3, by "Functional" I mean it shoots foam darts. What you need: Small spring, approximately 15mm long and 8mm wide. Roughly 30cm of Elastic Cord, approx. 2 to 4 mm in diameter. Two 35mm Chicago Screws String or Twine Two part epoxy or other very strong glue. Assembly: Print each of the files attached. You will need to slice the crossbow body as you see fit. It is safe to assemble the body before inserting the mechanism. Glue Bow L and Bow R, the "bow" part of the crossbow, to the body using a very strong glue like two part epoxy. Unlike a real crossbow, this crossbow uses an elastic cord to generate tension, and not the plastic bow part. That section should not bend. I strongly suggest studying the inside of the crossbow mechanism to understand how the trigger fits into the crossbow. You may want to to a smaller "Fit Test" print that consists of only the section around the crossbow trigger. To assemble the trigger mechanism: Glue the spring to the back of the trigger directly over the "Cone" projecting off the top. Place the round spinner into the underside of the crossbow body with the duckbill facing "up" towards the top, and the tooth that holds the string facing the front. Insert one chicago screw through the top hole. Place the trigger into the hole in the bottom of the body with the spring side facing the back of crossbow. Slide the second chicago screw into the bottom hole. The trigger mechanism is now functionally complete. Note: You may want to use one or both of the included spacers between the trigger and the crossbow body to ensure there is no lateral wiggle. Slide the "Draw" into the two holes in the back of the handle. This piece draws the bowstring over the trigger spinner to reset it back to "Loaded". Use the string or twine around the left and right side of the bow to achieve the proper medieval look. String the elastic cord between the tips of the bow. The elastic cord should be slightly taught when not drawn, and very taught when fully drawn. Be sure to test various tensions. Remember to unstring the cord when not in use to maximize cord lifetime. You're done! Insert foam dart and enjoy.
