<h3><strong>Fuzzy Magnets</strong></h3><p>A quick an easy hack, designed to exploit the retraction moves of FDM printing process in order to generate a fuzzy high friction surface, which becomes smoother to the touch the lower the z resolution becomes.</p><p>That effect makes them ideal for holding pictures or other glossy paper.&nbsp;</p><p>The print is designed to host easily sourced 10x4mm Neodymium Magnets, which can be easily sourced.</p><p>letmegooglethatforyou: https://lmgtfy.app/?q=neodymium+magnets+10x4mm</p><h3><strong>Printing</strong></h3><p>Please do not repair the model, or netfabb will close the polygons and ruin the trick ;)</p><p>Can use any filament, but PETG or CPE HG provide a good balance between printability and tolerance.&nbsp;</p><p>If you use the 3mf file, the machine will pause, and wait for you to insert the magnet in the slot, before resuming.&nbsp;</p><p>If you start with the STL you need to set the <strong>M601 (pause) command at 5.75mm height.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Some older printers or firmware may not support M601 so please use the M600 command instead.</p><p>Tip: Reverse the polarity of one of the magnets as you insert them, so they can be coupled.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
