its 15mm thick, and roughly the same shape as the butt pad but on the right side I made it stick out straight to match the monopod bracket, also I have rebated the holes for the bracket to use the standard bolts with 2X 5mm nuts, and the holes for the butt pad lined up and I matched the origanal screws which are no4 ribbed t10 X20 so I ordered 35mm from Accu (uk)
