The Western Lowland Gorilla is a primate belonging to the family Hominidae. Specimen MZB 2010-1163 originates from an unknown location. This specimen's hand contains a fourth metacarpal bone, located on its right forelimb. Female gorillas typically reach adult status at nine years old and eight months of age. The individual represented by this specimen was housed in the Barcelona Zoo, which is located in Spain.
