G-Scale Locomotive

G-Scale Locomotive

thingiverse

This was a project I started to get to know my Ultimaker original 3d printer It is a fully functional locomotive inspired on a Saxon 1K. I painted the model not to mask any scarrs, just becouse I didn't have all desired colours on stock. Small lights can be mounted in the lanterns and there is space for a smokestack. The bill of materials is also uploaded. Everything except for the wheels, axles and of course the motor is printed. The body and boiler were printed before I builded a hot bed, so these parts can be printed with less warp. However I'm quite pleased with the result Some parts might still need a bit of finetuning but it was a fun project to work on. Here's a short video (still without the piston and rods):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dJ7phcc00Q&list=UUpL-x-NZoF6dd53C2jUvMNg UPDATE: A new short vid with the drivegear mounted:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6b3KC1Xu6Y&feature=youtu.be Uploaded 3 parts that turned out to be missing; 6036-piston 6037-rod1 6038-rod2 and an updated rar-file with all the parts; Parts_RevA
