G Scale Rail Road Track

G Scale Rail Road Track

This is a 45mm gauge railroad train track with jigsaw joiners. I made this for use with my son's Lionel Pennsylvania Flyer Freight Ready-to-Play Set, Battery-powered Model Train with Remote. These pieces will not link with the original track. I also designed an adapter track section, but it is not quite ready for public consumption. Hopefully, I will have a polished version uploaded soon. Rafts are not necessary but supports are absolutely a MUST. Even still this design is crazy efficient. The yield is about 132 grams of filament per meter of straight track. Curved pieces are all 22.5 degrees. 16 will form a complete circle exactly one meter in diameter at the outside rail. Perfect for around the Christmas tree. Nominal length of each is 185mm for 2.96 meters of track. That will cost you about 385 grams of filament. Pretty doggone cheap. Soon to come, a road crossing, and I'm trying to work out a way to do a switch track. We'll see how that goes. That's a tricky one. This is my first post here. I hope I did everything right. Thanks and happy printing!
