G Scale Railroad Tie

This is a replacement railroad tie for G Scale trains. I have some brass track that the ties at 15 yrs old and have just faded away to nothing. I don't want to replace the 5ft long flex track. The tie is intended to be installed where no ties or underlaying plastic are present, just raw 332 brass rail. There is a procedure to installing the tie. No tools required, just deburr 3D prints. 1. Lay the tie under the rails. 2. Take the Center section and snap it in half. There is a dividing line. Install 1 of the pieces pushing the rectangular tab down into the tie while holding the edge of the Center section against the inner rail edge. 3. Install the remaining piece of the Center by placing the end against the opposite rail and forcing the tab down into the hole in the tie. This establishes the gauge (rail spacing). 4. Install the outer Side Caps by sliding the tab into the tie at an angle. Both Center and Side Caps should be pushed down flush with top of the tie. By design, this is meant to work ONCE. Attempting to remove either Center of Side Cap pieces will likely result in destruction of the tab.
