This is an additional component to use with the excellent G1000 Knobs designed by FlightSimMaker. I designed this because I had rotary encoders on hand which did not have or support mounting with nuts. In the attached photo, this component which holds the encoders is attached to the bottom of the main gear assembly with CA glue. The mounting holes are 12.4 x 15 mm externally to allow space for electrical contacts, and narrows down to 12.4 x 12.4 mm to hold the encoder in place via friction fit.
