G3 Flex Simple Blind Ceiling Mount

G3 Flex Simple Blind Ceiling Mount

Work In Progress Designed to be a simple ceiling mount where access from the top side was difficult/impossible. Designed to be simple and quick to print without supports (print all on their sides). Designed to suit thin fibreboard, as found around the outer eaves of my house. Could redesign the lugs taller/thicker to suit plasterboard. To avoid the screws going too far into the base of the camera, I used some leftover test bits to space out the screws; you could just print some small washers, or add some material onto the main frame part. To install: Cut a Ø54mm / Ø2.125" hole Tidyup the edges of the cut hole. Slot the "Lugs" onto the edges of the hole, 180° apart. Screw the camera to the "frame", and connect cable. Install up through the hole, such that the holes on the frame align with the lugs; screw in the screws provided with the G3 flex kit through the lugs; the screws bite into the thicker top side of the "Lug" parts. I had meant to design a simple cover to go over it, but never got round to it; might update this if I do, or maybe someone else can do so.
