G305 AAA Battery Holder Stock Replacement

G305 AAA Battery Holder Stock Replacement

I designed a replacement AAA battery holder that mounts in the stock location of the AA holder using stock screws and battery terminals. This was inspired by the LR44 holder by FrizzleFry. The negative terminal does need some finagling to fit into the back but it's doable. I had to solder the positive wire to a new location on the spring once I removed it to be able to fit the spring into the holder. The front terminal slots in and you can use a dab of glue to hold it in place better. This design does eliminate the DPI led but the button is functional. The weight of the holder without the battery terminals is 2.5g compared to 5g stock and you won't have to use any AAA to AA converters saving you another 2-4g. I've been having issues with battery popping out during heavy gaming sessions due to the battery holder tabs being too short. I've uploaded a V2 that has longer tabs and also a version without the DPI button for even more weight savings.
