*Allow me to preface this by saying that this is deeply still a work-in-progress. I have been using this version of the lid/enclosure for 3 months with zero issues, but my design is not optimized for 3D printing.* Anyway! I came up with this to pair with my Gaggia Classic Pro when I decided to customize it with a Mr. Shades PID (1). I did not care for the aesthetic of the project box double-sided taped to the side or back of the machine, so this was my solution. I also wanted to try to give it a sense of being "integrated" into the machine without needing to permanently modify or deform the machine. It fits to replace the stock water reservoir lid and has optional magnet (2) pockets to secure it to the cup-warmer and eliminate any buzzing. The magnets also allow you to service the machine by stowing the whole lid assembly on the side of the machine while the top is removed. Regarding the water refill lid, I have tried several different methods (slide, flip, magnet, live hinge) and so far have not been satisfied with the results, so this lid is very basic with a slight interference around the tab and it works just fine for me. A few things to note: - Print this with the PID box right side up - This will need support under the entire base - If you would like to embed magnets, i've made pockets sized for the magnets I purchased (linked below) -- put a pause in your gcode to allow for this. - This will need support at both of the PID display openings (front and rear) - My Prusa MK3S was able to bridge the rest of the top of the PID housing without issue so, consider adding support if your machine does not do well with bridging - Should have no issues working with the Pre and Post-2018 machines.
