Gaiwan Tea Set

A Gaiwan Tea Set that is fully functional (when printed in food safe material). These are lidded tea cups that have all necessary components to brew a cup of tea in your hand. Each piece was designed by tracing the surface in Inkscape and producing .dxf files. The .dxf files were used with openscad´s rotate_extrude with $fn=100 to have a nice smooth surface. The stl files were scaled 15 fold in replicatorg, and some were flipped to make printing more successful. I also used cloud.netfabb.com to polish some of the STL files for better slicing. Instructions Print these parts in PLA (food safe) or other safe polymers. It is actually quite useable at the temperatures used for preparation of green tea without melting the PLA. I printed these on a home built Rostock (the original design of Johann Rocholl) using white PLA with 0.2mm layer heights, 180C temp with a CPU fan aimed at the hotend, and 80C heated build platform. Cup and base had 0.05 infill, and lid had 0.5 infill. I had the most trouble with printing a nice looking lid. Slic3r was used for generating gcode and for the base and lid I used a 10mm brim to anchor the pieces to my heated build platform.
