Simple stand for the Samsung Galaxy S5 that directs the sound forward to increase sound clarity and volume in front of the device. Specifically, this is intended to be used with the phone in the portrait orientation and is particularly useful for listening to music without headphones or external speakers. It can be used landscape if used off center to the similar effect. A friend of mine works in a warehouse and likes to listen to music through their phone. However, they cannot use headphones nor do they want to use portable speakers (which might require charging or an external power source). They asked for a simple low-tech solution to this particular problem. Admittedly, I do not know much about accoustics, but after testing this it does seem to make the high notes easier to make out at distance. The design could most certainly be improved but it does seem to work. UPDATE: After use in the warehouse, the friend I made this for has reported that it is actually very effective at focusing the sound to make it audible across the warehouse.
