Game Boy Advance DIY rechargeable battery

When modding my Game Boy Advance, I wanted to install a rechargeable battery as well to complete the upgrade. Prices for rechargeable GBA batteries (such as the CleanJuice) however, are around 45$ without shipping, which was a bit much for my liking. Therefore I bought a rechargeable Xbox controller battery, for which I designed a new case that fits in the back of the Game Boy. (The battery I ordered can be found at the following link: https://www.speedlink.com/PULSE-X-Play-Charge-Kit-for-XBox-Series-X-S-black/SL-260000-BK) The first requirements was that the battery pack had to be removable (thus no soldering). A lot of other DIY GBA batteries require you to remove some plastic in the rear hatch, but I don't like cutting up my shell if I don't need to. Therefore the second requirement was that the installation required no cutting of the GBA shell. A third optional requirement was chargeable via usb-c, but this depends on the type of connector that comes with the bought battery. All in all it turns out the be quite a tight fit, but the DIY battery pack fits nice and flush in the back of the Game Boy, and is easily removable should you want to use some normal AA batteries again. **Assembly** Disassemble the Xbox battery case, and carefully remove both the 2 Ni-MH battery cells and the small pcb. Before installing the pcb in the new case, ta a pair of pliers, and squish the battery cover that is connected to the black lead. If you skip this step, it will be harder to install the battery in the rear hatch of the Game Boy. Next screw the pcb onto the new case, using the original 2 screws. These screws are actually slightly too long, so ideally shorten them by about 1mm. Click the 2 metal terminals into the small slots in the 3d printed hatch. Next install the 2 batteries (Carefully check the polarity!) and screw the top part of the case onto the bottom part. Congratulations, you have made your own Game Boy Advance battery pack!
