**FYI: it has come to my attention that the "download all files" button yields a 404 error. That's an error on Thingiverse's side I probably can't fix. The individual file downloads under the "thing files" tab/button do work correctly.** **EDIT:** I've uploaded some v2 latches today, they are a lot more springy and return back to their initial position better. The old latches have therefore been removed, though the fusion 360 file remains online just in case someone wants to continue from that design. The demonstration video and most of the pictures have therefore been updated as well. I recently acquired a used Game Boy Micro. Like most Micros, the faceplate latches were broken and the previous owner used double sided tape to hold the faceplate in. Surprisingly I found that there existed no proper solution to this common problem besides replacing the entire plastic inner shell. So, I set out to make 3D printable, glueless replacement latches, with success, as otherwise this Thing page would not exist. See the "post printing" section for installation instructions/tips. I license these files under the CC BY-SA 4.0 license for multiple reasons: 1. On the one hand, I don't aim to sell, nor will I sell this design in its current FDM state, as some cleanup is required and I don't think a commercial product should require this . I also don't know how long these latches would last, nor do I want to be accountable for warranty or other post-sale liabilities. 2. On the other hand, I would love it if someone adapts and improves the design such that no cleanup is necessary, maybe even sets up injection molding or resin printing or something and makes the latches available to non-3D print enthusiasts, such that most Game Boy Micros with broken latches can be fixed. I picked "Share Alike", as I would like those improved remixes of this design to remain available to the 3D-printing community. The Fusion360 file is available specifically for this reason.
