This is a replacement plastic lever for the inside of an up-and-over garage door. The version supplied with the garage door had a thin cross section, and was prone to fracture. This version is much thicker, and much more effective as a lever. The item attaches to the diagonal cables on the inside of a garage door, when the plastic level is operated, it pulls the cables (by rotating about the central axis), the cables then retract bolts on each side of the door - allowing the door to be opened.
