Gardena Sileno robomower Blade Grinding Jig

This is a grinding jig for grinding the mower blades of Gardena/Husquarna (and other) lawn mower robots. The gauge realizes a grinding angle of 17°, I think this is pretty close to the original grinding angle. For grinding I use a HORL roller grinder. First time on a used blade, I use a HORL Diamond Course D91 - if available - to grind the 17° angle on all surfaces. Then use the Diamond Course D35 (standard). After this, use the ceramic honing disc to remove all grinding burrs. Last I use a sharpening steel. Just the same as you are sharpening a kitchen knife. After this first treatment, per mower blade I need just about 2min ("medium wear without notches") to grind all 4 Blade surfaces with standard diamond grit. This is quite sufficient for grass cutting. Surely you can also use the gauge in conjunction with a belt grinder, for example. In this case, be careful not to overheat the knives, because on the one hand the gauge is likely to melt, on the other hand the knives would lose their tempering.... In this way, dull knives can be perfectly re-sharpened and thus reused many times.
