Gardenbot (WIP)
thingiverse
This is a Work In Progress. This upload is by no means the end of it. The project aims to build a small autonomous robot capable of recognizing and cutting grass, one blade at a time. Instructions: Print: 4 x "Wheel Holder" 4 x "Wheel Inner" 8 x "Wheel Rim" 1 x "Base" Each wheel consists of rim + inner + rim. The inners are 2mm smaller radius than the rim to allow for the track. Attach the wheel holders with bolts to the base, arches pointing outwards. Attach the wheels with bolts and washers to the wheel holders. Print: 2 x "Wheel Drive" 2 x "Drive Motor Clamp Top" 1 x "Drive Motor Clamp Top Clamp" The drive gears are mounted to the motors with the toothed side outward. Motors are then attached to the base using the "drive motor clamp tops" to connect to the base, which are then clamped to the base by removing 2 wheel mount bolts and screwing them back in through the clamp top clamp, base, wheel mount to secure the motor clamps in place. Add electronics: Pi, battery box, step-down converter, switches, prototype board 2019-08-02: Update base to add mount points for electronics 2019-07-31: Add mount holes for H-Bridge motor controller and battery box 2019-07-30: Second upload. Motor clamps and drive gear. 2019-07-30: First upload. A base with attached wheels.
