A garlic press, made of three die-casted aluminium parts and two cylindrical pins. The function principle is a "weightloaded lever on one side", similar to a "crowbar".The lever ratio (F1 = force of hand) / (F2 = force of press plunger) is approx. 1/7 (One/Seven).The press plunger has no exact linear guiding and works, but nevertheless, in a simple and correct way. The reason why is: A bigger clearance between the moving components makes it possible. The inserting of the garlic glove ist quite easily, as shown in one of the renderings.Sorry, but I was not able to make an animation of the complete opening and closing, resp. pressing process. The influence of gravity on the press plunger don't makes it simple enough, to create it with the »KeyShot-Application«If anybody can do this, it would be surely interesting to watch the motion of the lever and the press plunger. May be it could be a personal challenge for our grandmaster of animation, named "trinityscsp".The complete model is available in following data formats:STEP-file (.stp) and the native files (.prt) and (.asm),in a (.zip)-folder, for users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0«
