Garmin Dash Cam Snap On Lens Hood

Garmin Dash Cam Snap On Lens Hood

Designed for the Garmin Dash Cam 10 or 20, lens hood keeps sun glare off the lens. The dashcam lens is very wide angle, which limits the effectiveness of a hood, but the angle on this hood is optimized for the best possible shade on the lens. You don't need to print all 3 stl files! Check for v1 or v2 in the file names. Version 1 prints in one piece, and Version 2 in two pieces. Version two requires an M3x10mm screw to hold it together, but due to the printing orientation of the hook, should withstand more shear force, and last longer in terms of snapping it on and off the camera. Never leave printed PLA in a hot car, unless you're going for the Salvador Dali look. I've printed both versions, and they worked fine. The guy I made them for took them for a spin and never brought them back. I should have photographed them first!
